Dec 20, 2007 ยท Both were glued to IC surface. Depending on resistor value it will take more or less time to preheat IC to the "working" temperature. In my case it takes about 60 sec. It is important to connect resistor to 12V SW found inside the radio (is on only ON when ignition key is in) for not to drain battery when the car is not in use. And again, they works if I turn on the headlights (I see the red lights of the controls button turn on with the headlights which also working as well) So because of this, I suspect it is related to a failed relay. I activated it with Sirius XM, and have never been able to receive a consistent signal. The radio sounds choppy, echoey, or is absent altogether, displaying only Insert a set of radio removal keys into the slots as follows: Audi models: Horizontal slots on the bottom at the lower left and lower right of the radio chassis.
